*SugarToday* Opens London Office; Ashish K Appointed Europe Head

London: SugarToday Magazine, a publication dedicated to the sugar industry, cooperative sector, and allied industries, has opened its new international office in London at the beginning of the New Year. Senior journalist Ashish K has been appointed as the Europe Head. In this role, he will analyse and report on developments in the sugar sector across Europe and the Western world.

SugarToday, which has gained significant popularity in a short span within the sugar industry, is published in both online and print editions. On January 1, 2026, SugarToday celebrated its fourth anniversary. Marking this milestone, the publication decided to expand beyond India and formally launched its London office. Senior journalist Ashish K has been appointed to lead the international operations. With over two decades of experience in journalism and communication, he has previously worked with reputed media organizations such as India Today and the BBC.

Originally from Maharashtra, Ashish K has been working in London for the past 24 years. SugarToday’s Editor-in-Chief and senior Maharashtra journalist Nandkumar Sutar welcomed Mr. Ashish K and extended his best wishes. Before founding SugarToday, Mr. Sutar worked for nearly 30 years with leading media houses such as Lokmat, Pudhari, and Sakal, serving in roles ranging from News Editor to Editor. He has also served as a media advisor to the international BVG Group.

London is home to the headquarters of the International Sugar Organization (ISO). Moreover, the UK and Europe host a large network of sugar-based industries that significantly influence the global economy and politics. India, being the birthplace of agriculture-based industries, considers sugar one of its most important agricultural products. Expressing his thoughts, Mr. Ashish K said that working in such a vital and globally impactful sector is a matter of great pride.
